Nivea is an American R&B singer and songwriter with an estimated net worth of $3 million. Additionally, she made notable appearances on Mystikal’s hit single “Danger (Been So Long)” in 2000 and Lil Wayne’s song “Love Hurts” in 2010.

Nivea’s income sources include live performances, album sales, tours, online streaming, brand promotions, sponsorships, and endorsements. In 2021, she also appeared on Peacock’s dating series, “Queens Court.”

Nivea’s Early Life and Career

Nivea Hamilton, born on March 24, 1982, and professionally known as Nivea, is an American R&B singer. She made her debut in the music industry by featuring on rapper Mystikal’s 2000 single, “Danger (Been So Long).” Following that, she signed with Jive Records and released her debut single, “Don’t Mess With The Radio,” in 2001. Unfortunately, this single did not achieve the expected success, primarily due to a lack of promotion.

Her self-titled debut album was released in December 2002 and featured hit singles such as “Don’t Mess with My Man,” featuring Jagged Edge, and “Laundromat,” featuring R. Kelly. In 2003, “Don’t Mess with My Man” received a Grammy Award nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

In 2004, Nivea married music producer Terius “The Dream” Nash. The following year, she released her second album, “Complicated,” which achieved moderate success. The lead single, “Okay,” featured Lil’ Jon and YoungbloodZ. However, her pregnancy and the lack of promotion by Jive Records resulted in the album underperforming. In 2005, she parted ways with Jive Records and subsequently released her third album, “Animalistic,” exclusively in Japan in 2006. This album was primarily produced by her then-husband, The Dream.

Nivea and The Dream divorced in December 2007 after having three children together. Following the divorce, Nivea had another child with rapper Lil Wayne, whom she had dated before and after her marriage to The Dream. In 2010, she independently released an extended play titled “Nivea: Undercover.” In 2019, she released her fourth album, “Mirrors,” which included the single “Circles.” In 2022, she released a single called “Virginia,” which received positive reviews.
