Common Noun क्या है? (Common Noun in Hindi)
Common noun हर जगह है। क्यूंकि आप जहाँ देखोगे आपको हर जगह कुछ न कुछ देखने मिलेंगे। और यह सभी का एक नाम है। हालांकि यह specific name नहीं होगा, लेकिन उनकी पहचान के लिए उन्हें नाम दिया गया है। जैसे की person, animal, place, things, आदि। इस नाम को common noun कहा जाता है।
आप अपने घर में भी बहुत सारे कॉमन नाउन पा सकते हैं। जैसे की door, window, chair, tv, book, food, आदि।

Common noun या जातिवाचक संज्ञा एक ऐसा word है जो लोगों, स्थानों, जानवरों या चीजों के किसी समूह या वर्ग के सामान्य नाम को दर्शाता है। कॉमन नाउन को हिंदी में जातिवाचक संज्ञा भी कहा जाता है।
अंग्रेजी में, A common noun is a word that refers to the general name of people, places, animals, or things in a group or class.
उदाहरण के लिए, एक कुत्ता भौंक रहा था।
यहाँ आपको आपको पता नहीं की कौनसा कुत्ता भोंक रहा था। आप सिर्फ बताने लिए एक जानवर का नाम दे रहे हैं जिसको कुत्ता बोलै जाता है। यदि आप को पता होगा की कौनसा कुत्ता भोंक रहा था, तो यहाँ आप एक निर्दिष्ट कुत्ता के और इंगित करते। और यह एक कॉमन नाउन न हो कर प्रॉपर नाउन हो जाता।

Person से संबंधित कॉमन नाउन: pilot, teacher, student, girl, boy, mother, father, cricketer, player, man, woman, accountant, clerk, president, kid, child, आदि।
Place से संबंधित कॉमन नाउन: bathroom, school, fort, road, city, country, continent, village, study room, house, railway station, आदि।
Animal से संबंधित कॉमन नाउन: dog, cat, elephant, bird, tiger, cow, horse, donkey, lion, cheetah, bear, turtle, tortoise, crocodile, आदि।
Thing से संबंधित कॉमन नाउन: car, bike, train, shoes, mobile, laptop, smartphone, tv, helmet, salt, water, chair, table, pen, book, shop, apple, orange, आदि।

Common Noun के rules (Capitalization of common noun in Hindi)
कॉमन नाउन का उपयोग करते समय हम कई गलतियां कर सकते हैं। लेकिन हमें इस पर ध्यान देने की जरुरत है। चलिए कुछ rules के बारे में जानते हैं।
1. कॉमन नाउन का capitalization कभी नहीं होता है। आपको यह ध्यान में रखना है की जब भी आप किसी वाक्य में कॉमन का उपयोग करते हैं, तो इसके पहला letter कभी भी capital न करें।
उदाहरण के लिए,
I saw a dog on the road.
इस वाक्य में dog और road दो कॉमन नाउन है, इन दोनों के पहला letter capital नहीं किया गया है।
आप इस वाक्य को “I saw a Dog on the Road“, नहीं लिख सकते।
2. यदि किसी sentence की शुरुआत common noun से होती है, तो यह capitalize हो सकता है।
जैसे की: Water is essential for life.
यहाँ water एक कॉमन नाउन है और यह sentence की पहले आने के वजह से W को capital किया गया है।
3. यदि हम किसी specific के बारे में बात कर रहे हैं तो कॉमन नाउन का पहला letter कैपिटल किया जा सकता है। यदि हम किसी job या position का बात कर रहे हैं, तो इसे capitalize नहीं किया जाता है। यदि यह किसी title के साथ आ जाता है, तो हम इसे capitalize कर सकते हैं।
जैसे की: president एक कॉमन नाउन है।

यहाँ हम President को कैपिटलाइज़ कर सकते हैं।

4. यदि कॉमन नाउन किसी movie, book ya song के title में आता है तो इसे capitalize किया जायेगा।
